今回は初めて走る道、試走もかねているのでできるだけ早い時刻にスタートしてあちこち確認したい・・・ということで新横浜駅6時始発の新幹線ひかりを利用・・・静岡駅に6時40分に到着で輪行解除しても7時過ぎに走りだせます。
川沿いに道がありいくつかの集落を経て峠やダムにつながっているので奥多摩のような雰囲気ですが、交通量が少ないのでのんびり楽しめるコースでした。また処によっては急坂や山々が見渡せるところもあり、山梨のクリスタルラインに近いところを多くありますが、雪が少ないためだと思うのですが、落石はあるものの舗装が荒れてなく安心して走れます。大井川鐡道はSLを期待してたのですが、この日は普通のトロッコ列車でした。大井川鐡道沿いの旧道は自転車にとって走りやすい林道でとても気持ちよく走れました。
静岡市内から井川まで約53㎞で、安部川沿いの道は梅ヶ島温泉へのルートなので幅広く快適です。

いくつもの集落を抜けて横沢観光トイレ(最終バス停)を過ぎると渓谷沿いの林道へ入っていきます。

しばらく走るとパンやホットドックなどがおいしい「Casso 横沢」さんに到着、ここから富士見峠までがキツイのでここでしっかり休憩。

ヘリが爆音共に近づいてきてホバリングしているので何かと思ったら、レスキュー隊がヘリポートでロープ練習していました。

千頭駅を過ぎたら国道362号線から離れて旧道へ・・・この旧道は林道チックだけど道はさほど荒れてなく、程よく落石ありで素晴らしく道が笹間川まで続きます。ここはオートバイも入ってきません。

【最後に】
今回新幹線は新横浜から静岡と近距離だったので自由席利用でした。自由席車両の荷物スペースも「特大荷物スペース」になっていて要予約、加えて「自由席には特大荷物は持ちこめません」と記載。乗車中に車掌さんより「デッキの自転車はあなたのですか？。どちらまで行きますか？」と確認あり、今後東海道新幹線を利用する場合は指定席を利用する必要があるののかなぁ～。そもそもとして観光立国にっぽんを実現するには基幹交通機関となる「新幹線」はビジネス席(車両)とトラベル席(車両)の二つが必要になると思います。PCなどのデジタル機器を自由に使える電源やWiFi環境を備えた車両と大型キャリーバックなどの貨物エリアや対面シートの車両とか、分離したほうがトラブルも少ないでしょう。
